Ok, I tried to post this in LA and it didn't work, and we haven't really had many wi-fi opportunities since then, so I apologize for the delay.
We have a ton of video's though!!! I might have to just post them all separately though, because it was having some issues in LA and I think it may have been because I was trying to post so many at one time....but here are the first couple!!
This is the night before we left...
This is the first time we were in LAX....
Well, I wish we had more time to post more videos but we're going to board our flight to the Great Barrier Reef in just a few minutes so I'll try to get the next one up, but I don't think we'll have time :(

Engagement Pics And Other Fun Stuff
So we finally got our engagement pictures done yesterday and we got to see them today! They are so great!! If you want to see all of them (and not just the ones that our photographer posted on facebook) just click here!
We went all the way out to Antelope Island to get them done and by the time we were done we were FREEZING! I'm cold a lot of the time so my saying we were freezing doesn't mean a lot, but Garrett was shivering and his arms were purplish-blue so you KNOW it was cold! We had a lot of fun though and the pictures turned out great so I guess being so cold was worth it :)
On another note, I've started realizing how many things still need to be done. We got engaged in September and we got a lot of the big stuff done then, so we kept thinking "Oh, we have a while. We can wait on this or that." But we're down to 72 days here people!! Thinking of all the smaller things that need to still be done kind of freaks me out sometimes...and by freaks me out I mean I get overwhelmed and totally stressed out. There's still so much to do! We still have to register at 2 places, figure out our announcements, SEND the announcements, finalize details for our honeymoon (we're going to Australia!!!! I'm so freaking excited!!), and about a billion other things....but we'll get it all done right? Right?!

The proposal
I should probably be more efficient about posting on here because I'd like to keep everyone up to date on wedding plans and everything! (Not that anyone really even knows that this blog exists at this point, but I'll be sure to let people know about it today....maybe...)
Anyway, people keep asking me how Garrett proposed and they keep asking me on facebook or via text and I REALLY don't want to type it all out more then once so here we go. Here's the story of the proposal :)
I knew that he was going to propose soon and I knew he had the ring but I didn't know just how he was going to go about the whole thing and still manage to surprise me. My family knew we were going to get engaged soon and his parents knew, but we had decided not to tell Garrett's siblings and their spouses (or so I thought) and just surprise them instead. Now, to understand how it all went down you need to understand a few things. Kaylee (Garrett's sister) and Ryan (Kaylee's husband) live in the basement of their grandpa's townhouse on the end of the row of houses and Chris (Garrett's brother) and Nicole (Chris's wife) live in the bottom apartment on the other end of the row. I hope that made sense....Anyway, we had just gotten out of our class and Garrett told me that we needed to go over to Chris and Nicole's because Chris and him needed to help their grandpa to move something. So off we went to Chris and Nicole's!
Once we got there I just settled down on the couch and watched Project Runway with Nicole while Garrett and Chris ran off to "help their grandpa". A few minutes went by and Nicole got a call from Kaylee. All I heard was, "Just a second....ya, we have...three! ....Ya, no problem." or something like that. Nicole came over to me and said, "Kaylee is making brownies but they don't have eggs...I hate to ask but Grayson (Chris and Nicole's little boy) needs to be changed, so would you mind running these over?" and handed me two eggs. No problem! I'm on it. So I headed on over to Kaylee and Ryan's apartment and knocked on the door and heard a "Come in!" from Kaylee (who then booked it up the stairs, I later learned) so I walked on in...and I'm sure my jaw just dropped.
All the blinds were pulled shut and closed to make the room darker (even though it was the middle of the day and light still snuck in) and there were candles lit and about 300 balloons, some filled with helium and floating, some just on the floor and all the balloons were black, white, or yellow (our wedding colors). And on the other side of the room was Garrett, standing there with a bouquet of roses. I navigated my way over to him through all the balloons and he got down on one knee and said, "Will you marry me?" I'm pretty sure I started tearing up then and I just nodded and said "Yes" while trying not to sound like I was about to bawl. Then he put the ring on my finger and stood up and we hugged and kissed and all that and then I had to ask him to take the eggs before I dropped them because I was still holding them. Behind where he had been standing there was a table with a bunch of candles, a big slice of chocolate Costco cake with whipped cream, two of those cute, plastic, throw away champagne glasses and Martinelli's sparkling cider. So we sat down and ate a bit of cake and Garrett said, "Well, I guess I should turn off the cameras." THERE WERE CAMERA'S?!?!?! I was then informed that everyone was upstairs waiting for us so we went upstairs and said hi to everyone (everyone being Garrett's parents, grandparents, siblings, and their spouses)
So that's the story! We then had to transport all the balloons to my house (which was an interesting adventure) and went to Olive Garden to eat and celebrate. Basically, Garrett is amazing and did an awesome job in surprising me. I honestly never saw it coming :)

How we met
Garrett and I met in the summer of 2005. You'll have to excuse me while I explain how we ended up in the same ward because although the details are really relevant to our meeting I just think it's an awesome story :)
I have never lived outside of Orem, Utah. I was even born in Orem Community Hospital. When I was born, we lived in a small house in northwest Orem for a few years and when I was only 3 or so we moved into a split entry house just a few blocks from my first house. That was the house that I grew up in. We lived there until I was 17 and we weren't ever going to move. My dad loved living there and I was convinced we wouldn't move if our lives depended on it. I won't give specifics, but I didn't like living there...I hated it. I didn't even go to the school we were in the boundaries for. I went to Mountain View for the first 2 years of high school (we were in the boundaries for Timpanogos) and I had already transferred to Orem High before all this happened. My mom and I had a sort of "hobby" of driving around and seeing houses for sale, getting their paper fliers, and just spending time together really. We knew about the neighborhood we live in now because I had some friends that lived here (Corey and Skyler Mann) and we really were just in love with the neighborhood so we liked to check it every once in a while just for fun. We were driving around one monday and noticed the house we live in now was for sale and the first thing I said was, "Well, we'd have to paint the blue door" completely joking because we would never move! We got home and my mom told my dad where we had been and he said, "Well, show me the houses you went and saw." This was epic...I thought that either hell had frozen over or surely my dad was possessed. Well my mom showed him this house and the first thing he said was, "Well, we'd have to paint the blue door." Then he said he wanted to go see it...I can't explain the state of shock this put my mom and I in...in was surreal haha. Anyway, here's where it gets fast...so let me break it down into days

- Monday: We drove by the house
- Tuesday: We went and saw the house
- Wednesday: My parents went and saw it again and verbally agreed to buy it
- Sunday: We went to church and told no one we might be moving
- Monday: We signed papers
- Friday: We closed and I moved in (I moved in before the rest of my family because I moved my stuff over so quick and I wouldn't be able to help with moving the next week)
- Sunday: My dad and I attended the new ward
So there you go, that's how we met. :)
